1) What’s the Availability Like?

Our conference center not only hosts weddings, but business meetings, conferences, banquets, trade shows, etc, along with the adjoining Arena hosting sporting events, concerts, comedy shows.... You get the idea. We can be extremely busy certain months of the year and often are booked up solid 6 months in advance or more. Weddings commonly book their space a year in advance, just to make sure they get the desired date. As with any venue, the quicker you lock down your date and deposit, the better chance you have of actually finding somewhere with that date free.

2) WHAT space is available? What is the capacity?

The Boot Hill Casino & Resort Conference Center is a massive, yet classy 7,200 square feet that can be separated into smaller room configurations. The entire conference center is 120'x60' and has air walls that can divide the space into suitable sizes for your event. The entire conference center can fit 400 people with banquet-style seating and if you need more space, we can even help you transform the Arena floor into a suitable reception space with creative lighting and decorating. We also have a protected outdoor garden space that has been utilized as a ceremony space, then moved the reception inside the conference center for an all-inclusive location. All our facility has been diligently cleaned and kept looking new to give you an elegant space.

3) Is the BHCRCC Affordable?

Absolutely! We have many things that are included in the venue rental price that are extra fees elsewhere - tables, chairs, dishes, setting up, server staff, housekeeping, and cleaning up afterward. Always make sure to ask what is included in the final price when you are comparing venues. The entire conference center here costs $1,000 to rent and you are allowed all day - from 8 AM to midnight! No hourly limit or minimum for your event. If you need extra time to decorate and our calendar allows, we can arrange extra time for setting up at just $25/hour access; no need to rent a full day's worth!

4) What are the catering options?

We have an extensive in-house catering operation available for anything you could desire! We have a menu for you to choose from, or if you have a unique request or special recipe (Gramma's potato salad?), our Chef can make it happen with a custom menu just for you. There are very affordable options on our menu, starting at just $17 per person for an entree, two sides, salad, bread, and dessert. Speaking of dessert, while our catering and liquor licensing forbids outside food or drink, we make an exception for that stunning wedding cake/cupcakes! You are encouraged to have the cake of your dreams created and then brought into the conference center.
We also have talented bartenders and can set up a full bar with any option you would want, to keep your guests in good spirits all night long! The fee for a bartender with a full bar is $100 for a minimum of 4 hours. Additional hour fees are prorated. You can plan for a hosted bar, a cash bar, or anything in between!

5) Location, Location, Location

Boot Hill Casino & Resort Conference Center is located on the western edge of Dodge City, adjacent to the Boot Hill Casino and the United Wireless Arena. The Hampton Inn is within easy walking distance and there are so many other hotels that are a short drive (or shuttle) away. The Dodge City Airport is a 15-minute drive and the Garden City Airport is less than an hour away, giving your distant guests airline options. There is ample parking for your event and Dodge City has a historical background with entertainment options to please any of your guests. We encourage you to talk with the Dodge City Convention & Visitor's Bureau about coordinating activities for your guests. From a private tour at Boot Hill Museum to a tour of the historic Depot Theater, to a tasting at the award-winning soil-to-sip Boot Hill Distillery, or a summer fun day at the Long Branch Lagoon waterpark, there's something for everyone in Dodge City!

Our staff receives customer service training, the food & beverage department is ServSafe certified, and each event receives a dedicated Event Manager to help make sure no item is missed in planning and is present on your day to ensure everything goes smoothly. Think of the Event Manager as your personal on-site wedding planner - coordinating details with the catering, watching your proposed timeline to keep the evening running, and always ready to rectify any problems that may come up.
